Change in Mass Times.

Published on January 19, 2026

The new Mass timetable for the parishes of Greenlough and

Bellaghy/Ballyscullion will come into effect on the weekend of 7/8 February and will be as follows:

Greenlough: Saturday, 5:30pm.

Ballyscullion: Sunday, 9:45am.                                Bellaghy, Sunday, 11am.

Whilst this will not please everyone, it leaves a schedule that is manageable for one priest to cover on a regular basis, and it means that each of our three churches will have a weekend Mass. This will do away with the accusation of one parish being favoured over the other.

The early evening Mass in Greenlough parish and the late morning Mass in Bellaghy are the Masses which are attended by the greatest number of people, and will continue to be the times when we can celebrate our Children’s Liturgies.

Readers, Eucharistic Ministers, Collectors, and Altar Servers are asked to contact their respective parish secretary or the co-ordinator of their group to let them know if these times suit them for continuing their service to the parish. New rotas will be issued as necessary.

Bishop McKeown asked us all recently to co-operate within and between parishes in the light of present circumstances which are likely to continue for some time. It is my hope that our new Mass schedule will encourage us all to do so in our three communities.

May God bless us in everything we do for His greater glory and for the good of His

people.
